Lots of pics – bricks, windows and tiling

I am so far behind with my blogging and the only way I think I  can  catch up  is to post some photos……..

Bricks arrived two weeks ago and the brickies have been very busy building our front courtyard wall, raised garden beds and pillars for our skillion roof pool pergola.

Almost all the windows are in apart from one louvre near the front door entrance – I have no idea what is going on here and I’ve  given up trying to guess as there were 3 attempts at getting the front door and louvred windows in! 1st time they had measured the frame size incorrectly, 2nd time the glass for the door and louvred windows was the wrong size and 3rd time we almost got it right apart from a 1 louvre waiting to be installed!

The tiling has been progressing along nicely and should be completed by the end of next week. A huge job for the tiler and I am sure he will be happy to be finished!!

  1. Well it looks like someone’s been busy!! Congrats on the sold sign! The alfresco slider looks great, it looks roughly the size of ours, I hope ours looks as good 🙂

    • Thanks Trixee.
I do love the look of all that glass – might not love it so much when I’m cleaning them though lol. I think that section of glass is approx 7.5 m.
Hope things are moving along nicely at your place.☺

  2. Your house front looks excellent Deb. I didn’t realise your builders were doing all the exterior hardscaping now. No wonder there is so much to do. That’s going to be great that you can get started with gardening almost straight away. As for being behind on blogging, who cares if it means you’ve been busy with action?!

  3. Thanks Jo.
We trièd to have almost everything done by the builder so it could all be coordinated and lined up well, that was the intention.
We have organised someone to do the landscaping (blog to follow soon if I can get my act together) so that almost everything will be done – even down to our washing line lol.
I see things are moving along nicely at your place ☺

    • Thank you.
I am certainly a lot less stressed now our house has been sold although we still have an issue with timing – trying to find short term accom with two dogs might be a bit of a challenge!
I love the windows too and will hopefully be looking out at some greenery and a full pool soon! 😊

  4. Congratulations on the sale Deb.

The house is looking ab fab! Great idea to get the builder to do as much as possible so you can just move in to a beautifully finished house. So close to the finish line!

  5. Thanks Sheilzy.
Keeping everything under one roof seemed like a good idea so I hope it does work out as all these finnicky jobs get lined up and sorted out.
I feel like we still have a way to go before completion and the builder informed us yesterday of another 2 week delay which really starts to muck us around with settlement, moving etc with our pets. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will get it done asap 😑
