Painting, pergolas, packing and pictures

To say that it has been a very busy two weeks would be an understatement!

At home we have been frantically  packing and preparing for our imminent  move (today!). It has felt like a mammoth task and I’ve  experienced  so many mixed emotions with the thought of leaving our home of 18 years but this is it and we are on our way!

We still refer to our new place as ‘the block’ and my neighbour’s have also now started  calling it the block’ due to the amount of activity going on over the last few weeks.

Last week saw the completion of the outside render.

I am very grateful  to our builing supervisor who has been flat out getting the house ready. He is certainly multiskilled and wears many hats as every day over the last week I’ve  seen him weilding a different tool – a broom, a spade, a jack hammer etc, etc. He has also managed to smile and calmly address my constant stream of questions. THANKS craig for getting us in on time ☺

  1. Deb, congratulations! I’m very happy you shared a little piece of today with us. Your place looks so good and it is a nice little reminder for all of us building, that one day we’ll actually “move in”. Your render job and colours looks top notch. Enjoy your first night. Are bubbles on the menu?

  2. Congratulations Deb! Your new home looks so bright and welcoming. Enjoy your bubbles, I hope the move wasn’t too stressful and you were able to take some time to soak it all in.

  3. Wow. Congrats Deb. All the stress and hard work and you are now living in an awesome looking home! Enjoy!! and yes as Jo has already said, it is a reminder that one day us that are still in the build process will also “move in” yay!
