Splish, splosh, splash

We have a beautiful blue  pool!

The pool was cleaned and prepped on Tues, rendered on Weds and because of the cooler weather slowing down the curing process we had to wait until Thurs to start filling it. This took 24 hrs – 450000 litres of water!

The pool people organised a handover which was done yesterday with my better half. I stayed well away as this is like the bbq territory for me  and I want as little to do with it as possible apart from swimming  in it and enjoying a glass of bubbles at the side!

Although it was freezing cold grandson J was desperate to get in and braved the very cold waters. He told us it was “not too bad” but he looked a little blue when we pulled him out after his very quick dip!! We have 50sqm of pool heating being installed this week on the roof of the pool pergola so that should warm things up a bit ☺

The pool looked fabulous when we turned the lights on unfortunately, no pics.

We are now looking forward to some warmer weather so we can start using it.

  1. Thanks Trixee.
We are looking forward to getting the next two weeks out of the way and that should be the bulk of the stuff done so we can sit back and enjoy.
We need to do some shopping for outdoor furniture next – any suggestions?
Hope all going well at your place ☺

  2. Super exciting! I’m glad your grandson tested it out. The first place I’d look for outdoor furniture is Eco Outdoor, but I’d wait for a sale. (January, I think.)
